How to program Citroen key fob with Lexia 3 Diagbox V7.57 diagnostic tool

Diagnostic tool needs:
Lexia 3 V48 with Diagbox V7.57 diagnostic tool

Computer requirement:
A laptop running Windows XP home

Main procedure:
Ⅰ Key programming procedure
Ⅱ Synchronization of HF PLIP remote controls

NOTE:
The vehicle keys are allocated to a single BSI. Vehicle keys are located to the new and old key and than have them installed on a situation. Initializing a new key will require all the keys to be initialized.

Ⅰ Key programming procedure

1) Register the keys
2) Initializing a new key procedure
1. After well installed and activate the Lexia 3 Diagbox V7.57 software, come to the main program
2. Select "DIAGNOSIS" function in the main menu
3. Select vehicle model in Vehicle Selection menu
4. Select "GLOBAL TEST"
5. Select "BSI ECU"
6. Select "INITIALISATION"
7. Select "KEY INITIALISATION"
Follow the instructions given in the OBD diagnostic tool Daigbox software.

NOTE:
The "PARAMETER MEASURES" menu can be used to check the number of keys initialized. The number of keys initialized indicates the total number of vehicle keys. The number of HF PLIPS initialized indicates the number of HF keys initialized.

Ⅱ Synchronization of HF PLIP remote controls

When replacing the batteries of an HF PLIP remote control, it is necessary to resynchronize the remote control.

1) Put the HF key to be synchronized in position "ignition +"
2) Press one of the HF key buttons within the next 10 seconds
3) Release the HF key button
4) The ignition key HF PLIP is synchronized.
5) Repeat and perform previous operations for the other keys equipped with HF remote control.
6) Perform a locking / unlocking test of the vehicle doors and tailgate. If the locking / unlocking test of the doors and tailgate fails, restart the synchronizations of all the ignition keys equipped with HF PLIPS.

How to activate Peugeot cruise control with Lexia 3 PP2000 diagnostic tool

Please check that your vehicle can be retrofitted with cruise control before purchasing any parts or paying to activate cruise control in your ECU. Cruise control will not function unless the foot pedal, control stalk and master on/off switches are all present, adjusted correctly and working normally.

Tool needs:
Lexia 3 V48 Peugeot Planet PP2000 V25 diagnostic tool

Vehicle model example:
Peugeot 406 HDi 90 2001

Instructions:

1. Install and activate lexia 3 PP2000 software. Select vehicle model. Select the application as PEUGEOT PLANET 2000.


2. The system will identify and configure vehicle information. Then select “ECU configuration and services”


3. Select “Test by ECU”


4. Select “Engine/automatic gearbox”


5. Select “Petrol” or “Diesel” according to your vehicle. Here select “Diesel”


6. Select the correct ECU for your vehicle. Variant can usually be identified from VIN code on left.



7. Switch on the ignition. Connect the portable to the test connector C001. Then the system is identifying and reading of the ECU in progress.
Select “Configuration” option in Carry out the tests menu


8. Select “Cruise Control” among various ECU modules and change this option to “present (activated)”


9.  Click “OK” to validate.


10. Click “Configure” button to save settings. Wait patiently for a few seconds don’t click anything else.


11. Click “Yes” for saloon and “No” for estate car
Click OK to validate
Open “Configuration” again to check that the changes have been recorded
Exit the program if settings have been saved

How to install Lexia 3 V48 PP2000 V25 diagnostic software on Windows 7



The default software operating system of Lexia 3 V48 PP2000 V25 for Peugeot and Citroen is Windows XP with the latest service pack installed, but lexia 3 users have successfully installed PP2000 on Windows 7 operating system. 

Equipment:

Lexia3 V48 diagnostic system hardware
PP2000 V25=Peugeot Planet 2000=Peugeot diagnostic software 
A laptop running Windows XP in a Virtual Machine


Read/clear fault codes
Display live data such as speed, rpm, voltage, coolant temperature, vaccuum.
Key programming

VM VirtualBox, for example free version of Oracle must be installed on Windows XP laptop.  You also need the free extension pack called VirtualBox 4.3.14 Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack which allows you connect to USB devices from within the Virtual Machine (this is required as PP2000 connects via USB). 

Instructions:

1. Download and install VirtualBox and extension pack
2. Install Windows XP onto your virtual machine via .ISO file.
3. Install PP2000 drivers and software
4. Activate PP2000 diagnostic software 
5. Open and run PP2000 V25 software 
6. Connect Lexia 3 diagnostic tool with vehicle when system prompts
7. Choose the function your want to project
